He is a graduate Of Somali National University (Gahayr) with a degree in Economics and has received numerous credits and varies Certificates for Education, and community interpreting/ Translations From the University of Minnesota and Hemline University. He also obtained Certified Resident Manager (CRM) certificates from Minnesota Multi Housing Association and also QUADEL Consulting, a national consulting Company for affordable Housing. His area of expertise is in Public Administration Management, Property Management, Economic/Business Development, Social & Human Services,
Since Mr. Yusuf has been in the Property Management Industry, he has worked as a site Manager, Special Programs Consultant and Interpreter /Translator for Peoples Pride in Living (PPL) and Asset Management Group Companies. He has been involved in the development of training materials for immigrants, and serves on the board of Directors for Central Community Housing Trust (CCHT) an affordable housing Company Since 2001 and Elliot Park Neighborhood (EPN) since 2003.
